I looked and I haven't found any. I don't know if there's anything out there that sounds close to a subway car either. QSI made some of the original ProtoSound devices for MTH subway cars, but nothing for HO AFAIK. Everyone else that I found is either diesel or steam.

One general comment: get a good decoder for the Proto 1000 cars. They really need something with programmable voltage/speed curve. I installed decoders in several of my LIRR engines and a Proto 1000 R21/22. The R21/22 was disappointing with a simple decoder that uses a straight line voltage/speed curve. That combo has sharp jumps in speed from standstill to near warp and it is difficult to get it to a slow running speeds. I'd even go as far as say it would benefit from a back EMF decoder. I was amazed when a temporary swap really changed its performance.

In short, I'm going to permanently swap out the R21/22's decoder for a one with more features in the near future.
