You bet. Again, it's a matter of time, money and personal tastes. Now, just to play devil's advocate, I don't know why, in this age of computerization, CAD, etc. that Life Like couldn't have created a product that at least had the correct dimensions. Perhaps they were using some other tooling for the motor and chassis so they just up-sized the body shell to accomodate it (that's just a guess).
I remember being alterantely happy then disappointed when Walthers produced their BART and DC Metro cars. I mean, hurray! A mass produced affordable kit. Then, huh?! It isn't a New York or even Chicago prototype?! Oh well, I bought a few of the DC cars and still have them somewhere. Maybe they could be convinced to do some el cars.
No matter. I enjoy scratchbuilding/bashing models, but assistance from the commercial world is always greatly appreciated!
